Anthony Mires

Executive Director

Anthony joined KSTC in June 2011. He currently serves as Executive Director of AdvanceKentucky, a statewide initiative accelerating access to and success in Advanced Placement math, science and English courses. Since 2008, AdvanceKentucky has trained and/or worked with over 5,000 teachers while supporting 95,000 AP MSE enrollments. Prior to AdvanceKentucky, Anthony taught AP Biology at Barren County High School in Glasgow, KY. During his tenure, he was recognized by the National Math and Science Initiative as an All-American Teacher of the Year for Science in 2010. He holds Bachelor's Degrees in Biology and English and an MA in Secondary Education from the University of Kentucky.
