To help fulfill the mission of increasing student access to quality instruction, AdvanceKentucky partners with the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI) and together we are dedicated to improving English, mathematics, and science instruction. The program provides comprehensive hands-on training with nationally endorsed trainers guiding participants through content-rich instruction. Participants receive a full suite of print and online classroom-ready resources consisting of model lessons, formative and summative assessments, as well as STEM labs and activities. The training emphasizes research-based instructional strategies and best practices including inquiry-based learning, instructional scaffolding, and vertical alignment for grades 3-12.
In partnership with the National Math and Science Initiative, AdvanceKentucky is pleased to host pre-AP training through Laying the Foundation.
