Fall Forum

Teaching Advanced Placement to students in an open enrollment environment poses unique challenges and opportunities.  The AdvanceKentucky Fall Forum is designed to support AP teachers as they work to increase access to and success in the AP classroom.

This unique training brings together strategies from nationally recognized leaders in their content areas as well as  innovative ideas from experienced Kentucky AP teachers. Presenters include table leaders, textbook authors, and APSI trainers with years of experience. The Fall Forum was originally designed to serve AdvanceKentucky teachers, it has since evolved to become a unique Kentucky resource for any AP teacher interested in open enrollment environments in AP math, science, or English.

Fall Forum registration fees are complimentary for all AP math, science, and English teachers at schools actively engaged under an LOA with AdvanceKentucky.  All schools are responsible for associated travel (hotel and mileage) expenses and some meals.

AdvanceKentucky AP teachers earn part of their teacher stipend by attendance and active participation at this event, which must be reported by the teacher in the AdvanceKentucky online Data Reporting System in order to qualify for payment.

Fall Forum is open to teachers from other schools interested in supporting equity and access through an open enrollment environment for Advanced Placement math, science and English.

Fall Forum 2019 dates to be announced.
